Bab’s Famous Spicy Meatballs

 

Sauce

4 cups chili sauce (2 bottles)

2 cups tomato juice

2 cups water

½ cup honey

¼ cup lemon juice

3 Tbsp chili powder

3 tsp Tabasco

2 tsp oregano

1/2 tsp garlic powder

 

Meatballs

4½  lbs ground beef, turkey or pork or a combination

6 eggs

1½ cup bread crumbs

3 onions

4 tsp chili powder

1 tsp salt

1½ tsp garlic powder

1½ tsp black pepper

 

Mix all ingredients, form into ¾” balls and bake at 350^o for about 20 minutes.  (They can alternatively be fried.) Add meatballs to sauce, heat through and serve with toothpicks.
