SPICY APPLES

(Submitted in 2003 by Chris Murphy, who made these at school)

 

Remove the skin off all the apples.

 

Core and slice each apple.

 

Place all the apple slices in a medium bowl.

 

In a teflon sauce pan place:

 

1/3 C water, 3Tbsp sugar, pinch of salt and 8 red cinnamon candies.

(Note: Ingredient amounts are for one apple)

 

On medium heat, stirring constantly, bring mixture to a boil until the candies are all melted.

 

Place sliced apples into liquid and simmer until apples are soft.

 

Divide them into dessert bowls and top with whipped cream and cinnamon.
