Strawberry Spinach Salad


 2 Tbsp sesame seeds
1 Tbsp poppy seeds
 cup white sugar
cup olive oil
cup white vinegar
tsp paprika
tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp minced onion
10 oz fresh baby spinach (dried and torn into bite sized pieces)
1 qt strawberries cleaned, hulled and sliced
cup roasted cashew halves (or pecans or blanched, slivered almonds)
4 oz crumbled blue cheese (nice, but optional.) 


Whisk together (I put it in a pint jar and shake) sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sugar, olive oil, vinegar, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and onion. Refrigerate, covered, at least an hour.

In a salad bowl, layer the spinach, strawberries, nuts and blue cheese crumbles. Pour on the dressing and toss. Best if refrigerated 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes: Avocado is a nice addition
